The Property Accountant will be responsible to manage and oversee all financial aspects related to property management, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and month-end accounting tasks for properties.
- Reconcile accounts to verify tenant billings.
- Review input information for properties and tenant leases to ensure accuracy.
- Follow up with debtors.
- Validate invoices and payments.
- Analyze transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
- Review the work of junior team members and provide accounting support.
- Assist the Financial Accountant and management team with daily tasks as needed.
- Support with ad hoc accounting or leasing and operations-related tasks as required.
- Prepare property forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare property management accounts
Qualifications, Skills and Expertise:
- ACCA/ACA (level 2 or partly) and/or having first degree in accounting field or qualified by virtue of relevant Accounting experience in Real Estate industry.
- Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience of property accounting
- Knowledge in Real Estate accounting is an advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in group company is an advantage
- Experience with Navision-Dynamics and/or property accounting software, is desirable
- Well versed in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong expertise in property accounting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues at all levels.
